A Moroccan boxer set to compete in Rio de Janeiro has been detained by police amid allegations he sexually assaulted two female cleaners in the Olympic village
Hassan Saada, 22, was arrested by Brazilian police on suspicion of committing the assaults earlier this week, officials said.
The boxer, who competes in the light-heavyweight category, was due to fight in his first bout on Saturday.
However, a judge has reportedly ordered him to be detained for 15 days, pending an investigation.
The detention could mean Saada is unable to compete at the Games.
Brazilian media reported Saada pushed a maid against a wall and tried to kiss her. He was also accused of squeezing her breast and making obscene hand gestures.

Hopefully Allah will help this poor soul become a good muslim. This attack was nothing to do with Islam, as a recent convert myself theres nothing ive read so far in the Quran that would condone such action. God willing he will conquer his demons.
